The Joys of living at a farm

We got a knock at our apt tonight from a neighbor who was feeding and brushing Gypsie, one of the horses at the farm, who said that Gypsie was limping pretty bad. So john went out there to see what was going on and found a nail in one of his hooves. this is what it looks like. My husband is a smart one.. and asked me to come out there to help. i thought that was pretty funny considering i'm pregnant and would be in direct contact with a horses leg... i passed. His brothers came out and helped.
this is how big the nail was. i think it's pretty huge, those are plyers holding the bent part of the nail. OUCH!! that must have been painful for Gypsie!
