what we've been up to

I don't have any pictures so i'm not counting on anyone reading this. However i like to write things down for my records..

Last monday arys woke up feeling a little warm. I was watching my sister's kids, so i gave her medicine and didn't worry about it.

tuesday she woke up with a fever, a cough, and didn't want to eat anything, slept all day. i talked to my mother-in-law who said arys' cousins have the same thing and that it's going around like crazy.

wednesday i woke up with a sore throat... i thought, great, i'm going to get what arys has. arys' doctor said her sickness would last 5-7 days.. there goes our oct. break!

Thursday i woke up feeling worse. i thought it was maybe sinus's so i called my ob's office to ask what kind of medicine i could take for that. they said it sounds like i could be getting the flu, and to call them right away if i were to spike a fever. i thought, no it's just sinus's, i'll take some tylenol sinus and be fine. sure enough thursday night i thought i was going to die! i had a fever of 102.5. my body ached extremely bad! i couldn't breathe out of my nose. i kept throwing up so my throat felt like it had been scratched out. i took 2 baths that night to help me feel better. kept some tylenol pm in my system all night that didn't work all too well.

Friday woke up feeling a little better. fever didn't drop under 100. but much better than before. called my ob and they imediately perscribed me tamiflu, which i guess is supposed to help ease the swine flu.. not get rid of it. friday early afternoon, fever and aches came back. wanted to die, again. took 3 baths through-out the day. forced arys to take long nap. still throwing up. ate a banana, threw it up. ate some soup, threw that up. i could hold down liquids. but at this point water tasted like paper to me. i was so sick of it.

Saturday morning threw up a lot.. the afternoon hit and i was feeling a lot better. i called my ob crying my eyes out cuz i was scared for the baby. he said it should be fine as long as i am keeping liquids down. i did manage to keep a jamba juice down. i didn't spike a fever in the evening and no more body aches! things were looking a lot better!

Sunday felt pretty good except my body felt like it ran a marathon. i was so tired and exausted from just walking around the house. i took a long nap. still couldn't breathe out of my nose. and i sound like a man from throwing up and my sore throat..

Today is monday and i am feeling almost whole again! i still need to regain some energy in my body. John has been pretty amazing through-out all of this. he went to work late, came home from work early so our daughter could get taken care of (cuz i was not doing a very good job) at one point arys was rapped around my leg begging for me to put some movie in as i was hovered over the sink throwing up. I'm glad arys servived her sickness through mine. surprisingly we didnt' catch each other's.
the news has been saying if you get the flu to automatically assume it's the swine flu. doctor's arent documenting it anymore because there's so many cases. unless you are hospitalized, then they don't care about you(jk) they just aren't documenting it. so i don't know if it was the swine flu.. but could have very well been. i'm glad it only was horrible for 3 days. i'm glad john could be such a great husband and do dishes and clean the house while his poor wife was stuck in the bathroom for 3 days. he even got up with arys at night when she would wake up coughing really bad.

i never get sick. the last time i was sick i was pregnant with arys. so.. that doesn't give me a whole lot of motivation to do this any more. i told john i thought this was God's way of initiating me into my 2nd trimester. i believe that to be true! let's hope these next 3 months will be a lot better!
